Week 34
Hello everyone!!
Wow another week gone by!! AH!!!
First
off Happy birthday to my friend Elder Hafen, my dear Uncle Bieba, and a
few weeks ago, uncle Jason!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!
So
everyone is asking about the typhoon ;) It really wasn't that bad here
is Sta. Ignacia. but the winds were SUPER strong. and it has rained a
lot here. the gutters are overflowing and it smells bad! Wednesday
was when it really hit us, but everyone is fine and we still went out
and proselyted in it. It was VERY cold and quite an adventure as we
walked from house to house in the storm. The only damage is that there
are a few broken trees, but that is about it. It is all okay here. It
got hit really hard in other places in the mission. but here we are all
okay. We have had a lot of black outs here though. they keep having to
turn off the electricity. but it has been fun as we eat by candle light
;) but with the black outs we can't proselyte after dark so that has
been rough.
We have 2 baptisms this Saturday.
Mark and Michael Ladon!! they are brothers. Mark is 17 and Michael is
16. you know what? they almost weren't baptized! because of things that
came up yesterday they almost couldn't come to church! They had a
dance practice that was the same time as church. We taught them about
making important decisions like keeping the sabbath day or choosing
worldly things. We each shared personal experiences and we left them to
decide what to do. Sister
Tianday and I prayed all day that they would be able to come to church
and right as sacrament meeting started they showed up!! it was soo hard
not to cry!! The Lord cannot stop this work!! ;) Satan really does all
he can to stop it, but it cannot be stopped!!!
Justin
is really progressing and really excited for his baptism in August. but
he didn't come to church yesterday so he will be baptized later in
August.
Paul
did not come to church either, if his excuse is valid he will still be
baptized next week, if not he will have to be baptized the last week of
August. We are praying that everything will work out!
I wish I had more time to write about our investigators because we are seeing alot of progress!! :)
Just want to leave you with one quote "He cannot have you unless you
give yourself to him." How true is that! this is on my desk and in my
planner. It motivates me everyday to give EVERYTHING to him. my heart,
my desires wishes, dreams ,fears. It is amazing the outcome!! :)
I love you all!!! Have a great week!!! :)
LOVE
Sister Dalley
P.S.
Also!
I gave a talk in sacrament meeting yesterday!! it was sooo scary!!
there is a difference between teaching and giving a talk in Tagalog! in
teaching you can ask questions! I was soo scared because of the
language! but, it was on my favorite topic! Missionary work!! :) I was
able to give the whole talk in tagalog!! scriptures and all!!! :) THAT
is the gift of tongues my friends!!! :)
Mahal kita!!! :)
